Iran new play set to hit stage

New Iranian play ‘The Lady from Oslo’ by Majid Rahimi Jafari is scheduled to be brought to the stage soon.

Produced by Katayoun Keykhosravi, ‘The Lady from Oslo’, portraying love, envy, sacrifice and humiliation, will be on stage for 20 nights starting from July 31 at Hafez Hall.

According to local media, reservations for the theater play, based on ‘A Doll's House’ by Henrik Ibsen, starts today July 27, 2017.

‘The Lady from Oslo’ is a re-imagination of Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’ allowing the play’s events to a modern-day twist.

The new theater work features Iranian stage artists such as Shahriar Seighalani, Nazanin Farahani, Sogol Ghalatian and Payam Amirabdollahian.
